Zur Prävention der bipolaren Störung (manisch-depressive Erkrankung) muss auf eine Reduktion individueller Risikofaktoren geachtet werden.
Verhaltensbedingte Risikofaktoren
- Substanzabhängigkeit, nicht näher bezeichnet (Alkohol; Cannabis (Haschisch und Marihuana)) [1]
- Störung des zirkadianen Rhythmus (Störung des Tag-Nacht-Rhythmus), d. h. erhöhte Aktivität während nächtlicher Ruhepausen und Inaktivität am Tag [2]
Umweltbelastung – Intoxikationen (Vergiftungen)
- Regionen mit besonders schlechter Luftqualität [3]
